Director Enno Zuidema to present at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences

The University of Applied Sciences in Amsterdam has been working on a research project “Sensing Streetscapes” which was led by Frank Suurenbroek. The project has focused on perception and appreciation of public spaces within areas with a very high density and mostly high-rise buildings. MVRDV Director Enno Zuidema will join the conference day on the research project where he will discuss MVRDV projects such Bjørvika Barcode and Bastide Niel.

Director and urban planner Enno Zuidema leads MVRDV’s Urban Studio. Specialized in the design and planning of infrastructure, urban transformation, and densification, he is a champion of participatory design and planning, applying this to the great benefit of the projects that MVRDV’s Urban Studio produces. Renowned Dutch projects he has been integral to include the redevelopment of the station area of Utrecht, Highway N31 Harlingen, Eemsdelta and a regional strategic plan for Eemsdelta Groningen and several projects on livability and sustainability.

Since “Sensing Streetscapes” is organising this conference day is to reflect on the results using practical cases around the world. Besides Enno presenting Bjørvika Barcode and other MVRDV projects, there will also be other projects discussed on the Zuidas Amsterdam, Millharbour London and West End Vancouver. Enno’s presentation will be followed by a short Q&A session with the audience and other presenters.
