undefined

On September 10th, The Boston Society for Architecture will host Resilience in Practice, a lecture evening featuring the four design teams that took part in the Resilient Campus Competition organised by the University at Buffalo’s School of Architecture and Planning. Using the competition study developed by MVRDV and RIOS as a starting point, MVRDV's regional director for North America Rutger Huiberts will delve into MVRDV's work in resilience; including projects such as the Atelier Gardens masterplan in Berlin and its ecologically focused landscape, WHAT-IF: Nederland 2100, in which MVRDV envisioned the changes necessary for the Netherlands to thrive in a future defined by dramatic sea level rise, and ResiliScape, MVRDV's ongoing research to create a tool that maps resilience weaknesses in the urban environment and helps to propose solutions.

  • Date & Time: September 10, 5:00 pm EST
  • Location: BSA Space, 290 Congress Street, Boston, MA
  • The event is free and open to the public. Find out more information and RSVP here.
