undefined

The combination of urbanism, architecture and landscape architecture is one of MVRDV’s essential focal points regarding innovation. One of the agencies smallest projects, the blue rooftop extension Didden Village, is not just architecture but an urban planning project with a small and large urban impact. Markthal Rotterdam has participated in the urban transformation of Rotterdam on many different levels. MVRDV has developed various methods to design urban fabric, a top down approach for large regions such as Grand Paris, a hyper sustainable method for Greater Oslo, a green city for Almere and an experimental end of urban planning as we know it.
