Jan Knikker to talk about FILBO Netherlands Pavilion, Bogotá, 23rd April 2016

undefined

The Netherlands pavilion at the FILBO is a comment on the often wasteful system of trade fairs in which enormous constructions are made and trashed a few days or weeks later. In Bogotá a different approach was chosen, the fair trade pavilion is a Dutch village, Pueblo Holandes, which is made of a single wooden element that can be flexibly rearranged, almost like LEGO. The pavilion will be reused in various places in Bogotá as local mini libraries. Jan explains how MVRDV works in such a process and what steps it takes in general to get to its remarkable designs.
