Hosting the entire property and investment industry from all over the world, the three-day trade fair Expo Real takes place in Munich from 7 - 9 October. MVRDV is present during the fair and you can find our architects involved in several events.

On Monday 7 October from 14.30-16.00 MVRDV Partner Jan Knikker and Studio Director Sven Thorissen are at the booth of Schleswig-Holstein (Halle B2, Stand 330), showing how today's high-rise buildings can have a sustainable and forward-looking effect on urban development. In Kiel, we are planning the architectural landmark "Kool Kiel". It will be an exciting impulse with Jan Knikker, the discussion with Kiel's Lord Mayor Dr. Ulf Kämpfer and Lutz Lester from the project company Kap Horn. The event will be moderated by Angela Kesselring, Süddeutsche Zeitung.

On Tuesday 8 October at 18.30, Jacob van Rijs, principal architect founding partner of MVRDV, will give a tour at WERK12. That's a new construction in Munich’s Werksviertel near Ostbahnhof, a building for sports, work, gastronomy and entertainment. It’s our third project in Munich but first public building, which we recently completed and would like to explore together with you.

Wednesday 9 October, at 10.15, Jan Knikker is taking part at the event "Smart City Life" with the motto: “From vision to realism.” Here he will talk about "Space needs of the Creative Industry". At 11.00, Studio Director Sven Thorissen is one of the panelists talking about Sustainable and smart district development.
