Winy Maas, MVRDV co-founder and principal architect, is joining the "DDW Talks - Future Living. How will we live in 2040?" on October 22 during the Dutch Design Week. Knowing that by 2050, 70 per cent of the world’s population will be urban, how can architects and designers future-proof living conditions? A series of talks and Q&As will explore strategies on a variety of scales, addressing issues such as sustainability, affordability, mobility and quality of life. Working on residential projects across across scales, Winy Maas explores the role of the architect in developing future housing propositions that are sustainable, affordable and humane.
The event is moderated by FRAME founder, Robert Thiemann.
