MVRDV co-founder and principal architect Nathalie de Vries is giving a lecture at The Bartlett School of Architecture / UCL Faculty of the Built Environment in London, on Wednesday, 26 February, at 7PM.
The title of Nathalie's lecture, Works & Words, refers to the meaning of language in the studio's design process, offering insight into how certain words inform new typologies in their work. She traces the studio’s journey from the early days to possible future approaches, presenting key projects that enriched their vocabulary and brought whole new meanings to existing typologies.
Nathalie suggests that words are tools to define processes that implement MVRDV’s broader vision, in which quality of life and built effectiveness are at the core of spatial production.
