Peter Chang speaking at 2020 CTBUH International Symposium in Shanghai

MVRDV Associate Peter Chang is speaking at 2020 CTBUH International Symposium in Shanghai, China. Peter will present the case study of Seoullo Skygarden 7017.

MVRDV always reaches for maximum quality and social attractiveness in the development of the urban realm. We look critically at the ongoing processes leading to the densification and connectivity in our cities in order to discover new opportunities. MVRDV considers sky bridges as important instigators towards a more radical horizontal connectivity of the social program and as part of building the future matrix-like 3D City. The conventional monotonous extruded city is coming to an end, and sky bridges are only the beginning of exciting new typologies that will allow a more forest-canopy like three dimensional and hopefully sustainable green densification of the city.
