Winy Maas at BUNKER Talk "ImPossible Germany" at the Architekturgalerie München im Bunker

undefined

In the guest-curated Baumeister issue "ImPossible Germany", Winy Maas along with MVRDV and The Why Factory looked at Germany and asked: What is typically German? And why? The roots of MVRDV are closely intertwined with Germany. Winy Maas, Jacob van Rijs and Nathalie de Vries founded MVRDV when they jointly developed a design for the Europan 2 competition - and won the competition with "Berlin Voids". MVRDV had its first brilliant appearance in Germany with its design for the Dutch pavilion at the World Expo in Hanover. It was only last year that the office realized WERK12 in Munich's creative quarter.

To mark the release of the MVRDV-curated issue of Baumeister, it's time to find answers to the question of what is typically German. And where, if not in downtown Munich, can this question be better answered? This event will look at Germany "from the bunker" and find answers to these questions together with:

Nicola Borgmann (Architekturgalerie München)
Winy Maas (Founding partner MVRDV)
Jan Knikker (Partner MVRDV)
Cornelia Hellstern (Author)
Javier Arpa Fernández (The Why Factory)
Isa Fahrenholz (Editor Baumeister) (Moderator)

Location: Architekturgalerie München im BUNKER  Blumenstraße 22  80331 München
