MVRDV Associate Design Director and Architect Gijs Rikken is invited to speak at an internal inspirational workshop at AG Real Estate on Thursday 19 November 2020.

The AG Real Estate session is all about sustainability within big scale projects, as they are facing a complete transformation of a 150.000 m² building (and green spaces around) in the future. Together with Henry De Dreuzy (agence Babylone, Paris) Stefan Bussing (TPF, Brussels) and  Sophie Boone (ROTOR, Brussels)  Gijs Rikken is invited. He will speak on Adaptability, Evolution and  Bioclimatism 2.0 and use Tripolis Park , among others, as an exemplary big scale project MVRDV project.

The Tripolis Park project will renovate and enlarge one of the last projects completed by celebrated Dutch architect Aldo van Eyck, the Tripolis office complex in Amsterdam. The project comprises the renovation of the old buildings, a new park, and a new office block that will create a sheltering screen to protect the complex from noise created by the adjacent highway while embracing the Van Eyck-designed buildings behind.
