On January 20, MVRDV director Gideon Maasland will give a keynote at the annual ‘Real Estate & Building Futureproof’ fair, followed by a Q&A of the audience. He will talk about his vision on the future of architecture with the future of cities as main topic. Additionally, he got nominated for the Building Futureproof Awards!

Director, and architect Gideon Maasland joined MVRDV in 2016. With extensive experience acquired over a 15-year career at several high profile Dutch offices, Maasland leads MVRDV’s Studio 8, which is responsible for large-scale, complex buildings. Renowned for his detailed and dedicated approach, his work is hands-on. This proved invaluable to the success of his studio in the design and construction of multiple complex, large-scale projects, which meet design expectations in the completed building, and in consistently managed processes. Some projects in his portfolio are Crystal Houses, Valley and Shenzhen Terraces. To ensure the highest quality, Gideon is often on the construction site directly overseeing building processes.

Real Estate & Building Futureproof is a large and innovative real estate fair in the Netherlands, which will take place from 19 to 21 January 2021.
