When it comes to architecture, having the skills and the experience is not always enough to be successful as you also need to know how to land projects in the first place and make them world famous afterwards. MVRDV Partner Jan Knikker knows exactly how to do this and has shared his vision and experiences in his new book “How to Win Work”. If you would like to know more about it, joining his lecture on June 23 at BNA would be a great opportunity.

‘Architecture is a strange business in which your peers sit in juries deciding whether or not your work is being built and in addition it is a highly competitive discipline, the same peers can be your heaviest competition. You need to know the ‘product’ that you are trying to sell’ – Jan Knikker

As Partner at MVRDV, Jan Knikker leads the Contracts, Business Development and Public Relations efforts, forming a client-oriented, fast and strategic studio that includes a strong visualization team. He leads MVRDV’s branding efforts and has overseen the practices rapid expansion into new markets, focusing on the solutions for global issues through its architecture and urbanism.

Nearly 1100 practices are united in the BNA, the trade association of Dutch architectural firms. The BNA is a network that promotes modern and creative entrepreneurship. After Jan’s presentation there will also be an opportunity to ask more specific questions about your own practice in small groups.

  • Date and time 23 June – 15.30 - 17.00 (CET).
