When we say ‘building a city from scratch’, what do we actually refer to? Do we imply that we are building cities from ‘nothing’ but why then non-urban areas are considered ‘nothing’ or are we more referring to the new perspective for the city with unexplored methods? These and many other questions will be addressed using MVRDV project Chengdu Sky Valley by our associate Kristina Knauf who will be participating in the panel discussion at Moscow Urban Forum on July 1.
Kristina Knauf is an associate and architect at MVRDV who shapes project processes for the Urban Studio from early acquisition stages to delivery, driving storyline, design, and the internal coordination of project development through different design phases. With a particular dedication to urbanism and resilience, Knauf champions the development of innovative methods, tools, and products that help to future-proof MVRDV’s office vision and the Urban Studio’s design strategies.
