Business development is a very important aspect of every business. The architecture industry is not an exception, since it is where the whole process starts for every new project. Are you curious to know what is it like leading the business development team of an international architecture office? Global head of MVRDV’s business development team Sarah Moylan will share her experiences in this role and showcase her unique career path on July 13 at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Sarah Moylan guides MVRDV’s BD team in the expansion of the office’s global portfolio of work. To this end, she and her team draw potential clients and collaborators into connection with MVRDV to realize exceptional projects. As an experienced, licensed Architect in the State of New York, and UCLA graduate with several years’ experience expanding Starbucks’ market in EMEA, Moylan has a unique background that combines design and business. This professional experience extends across several scales, clients, users, participants, communities, cities, and countries, and its versatility lends significant strength to her team, as well as in the decisive pursuit of ambitious new opportunities for MVRDV.

UCLA Summer Lecture Series invites speakers whose creative, professional, or scholarly practice serves as an inspiring model for participants of UCLA AUD's Teen ArchStudio and JumpStart Summer Programs. Along with Sarah representing MVRDV, Kristy Balliet the principal of Balliet Studio will also join the discussion. The event will involve a 20 min presentation by each participant, which will be followed by a 20 min Q&A session.
