Would you like to get to know our projects and design vision? Then virtually join Winy Maas who will give a presentation during the Urban Talks at the Center for Architecture and Metropolitan Planning on March 3.
CAMP, the Center for Architecture and Metropolitan Planning, is an urban planning hotspot in the heart of Prague. The center organizes various lecture series where architects participating in the Vltava Philharmonic hall in Prague can share their work and visions. Together with Winy Maas, five other participating offices will share their philosophy and experience.
The implementation of this new concert hall project Vltava Philharmonic hall will be a major impulse for the development of the new Prague city center. It offers plenty of possibilities for the realization of an interesting construction and also for new cultural and architectural landmarks of the city.
The ‘M’ of MVRDV, Founding Partner and Principal Architect Winy Maas Ir. Ing (Schijndel, NL - 1959), has received international acclaim for his broad range of urban planning and building projects, across all typologies and scales. These are often self-generated, innovative, experimental, and theoretical. Maas challenges colleagues, clients, as well as students and collaborators at TU Delft’s The Why Factory – an internationally engaged think tank Maas established in 2008 – to challenge the boundaries of established standards to produce solutions that reimagine how we live, work, and play.
Aside from his dedicated leadership role at MVRDV and professorship at TU Delft and elsewhere, Maas is widely published, actively engaged in the advancement of the design profession, and sits on numerous boards and juries, including the Spatial Quality Boards of Rotterdam, Eindhoven, and Barcelona.
