Wenchian Shi to lecture on campus planning at Ideal Campus forum

Under the theme ''Open Space and Free Mind'', Wenchian will share MVRDV's projects on campus planning and educational buildings to explore the infinite possibilities on future campus.

MVRDV's design proposal for Tencent Campus

Partner, Architect and Urban Planner, Wenchian Shi is the driving force behind MVRDV’s Asia Studio. Shi joined MVRDV in 2004, and after four years of demonstrated successes, she became a Project Leader overseeing the office’s broad body of work in Asia, with particular focus on China, Korea and Singapore. Prior to joining MVRDV in 2004 and expanding the office’s portfolio in Asia, Wenchian worked at OMA, contributing to the design of the highly acclaimed CCTV Headquarters in Beijing. Shi excels at international collaborations with clients and consultants in both Asia and Europe. 

She has worked at all scales of architecture and urban planning including housing, offices, retail, cultural institutions, and the development of hybrid programmes. Projects she has led at MVRDV include Tainan Spring, Tianjin Binhai Library, Shanghai Hongqiao CBD, the Seoullo 7017 Skygarden, The Imprint, and Beijing Chongwenmen M.Cube shopping mall, among many others, as well as two major upcoming projects in Shenzhen and Taiwan: Shenzhen Terraces and Tainan Market.
