Would you like to know more about MVRDV's vision on the regeneration of neighborhoods and high-rise buildings? Then join Nathalie de Vries at the Let's Gro festival in Groningen on November 5 as she discusses her views on regeneration of neighborhoods in the city of Groningen, where she has been city architect since 2020. She will have a conversation with Endry van Velzen, the city's bouwmeester on neighborhood regeneration. Afterwards, she will lead a conversation on the advantages and disadvantages of high-rise building in Groningen, where she will be joined by Ruben Wiersma, Rob Brink and Daan Roggeveen.

Founding partner Nathalie de Vries has led many successful MVRDV projects, with a focus on the invention of new building typologies and the creation of changeable, open systems. De Vries combines her work for MVRDV with a position as professor of Architectural Design and Public Building at the Faculty of Architecture at TU Delft. The central theme in her research, design, and construction of public buildings and public space is “Multiplicity in Design”. In 2021, the municipality of Groningen appointed De Vries to the position of City Architect. In this role, De Vries advises on current urban design and architectural projects and brings spatial issues to the fore in order to improve the city’s physical living environment and building culture.

Let's Gro is a yearly festival about the future of Groningen. The 10th edition of the will take place from 4 to 6 November. Most activities will take place at the Forum Groningen, but a number of program components can also be found at other locations within the city. An important theme this year is the gap.
