For over 14 years, Brillux, a paint manufacturer headquartered in Münster, Germany has been attaching great importance to well-founded and advertising-free events for their customers, focusing on significant and trend-setting architecture and urban designs.

Brillux has invited, Partner and Director of Strategy at MVRDV, Jan Knikker to speak on MVRDV's project the Rotterdam Rooftop Walk and our Rooftop Catalogue. Jan will discuss the possible sustainable plans a city could use as a response to climate change and the lack of space due to overpopulation. Taking the Rotterdam Rooftop Walk and Rooftop Catalogue as examples to center the discussion around the undeveloped areas of the city, such as the rooftops and waterways.

Partner and Director of Strategy at MVRDV, Jan Knikker joined MVRDV in 2008. Prior to this, Knikker shaped OMA’s public image for nearly a decade, after having first begun his career as a journalist. As Partner and Director of Strategy at MVRDV, Knikker drives Business Development and Public Relations efforts, spearheading a large and dynamic studio that also includes the office’s visualization capacity. He further leads the office’s branding efforts, and MVRDV’s expansion into new markets, by supporting the office’s ambition to generate solutions to global challenges through a multifaceted approach to architecture and urbanism.
