“The building industry must transform from being a major pollutant to contributing solutions for the mitigation of climate change and the creation of more healthy living spaces throughout the city.'' says founding partner Nathalie de Vries, when addressing the future of architecture.

Join Nathalie de Vries for a panel discussion on sustainable innovative design on May 26 at SUTD Design Innovation Forum in Singapore. Nathalie will share MVRDV's vision on sustainability, with a special focus on ''Multiplicity in Design'', a term used to describe the pressing need for more performative and productive buildings. To do so, new design tools and methodologies will be highlighted and examples from MVRDV's broad portfolio will be pushed forward.  Nathalie also expressed her vision on the topic to the Straits Times-  co-organiser of the event- which you can read here.

As the “DV” of MVRDV, founding partner Nathalie de Vries has led many successful MVRDV projects with a focus on the invention of new building typologies and the creation of changeable, open systems. De Vries combines her work for MVRDV with a position as professor of Architectural Design and Public Building at the Faculty of Architecture at TU Delft. The central theme in her research, design, and construction of public buildings and public space is “Multiplicity in Design”.

SUTD Design Innovation Forum is an event organised by the Singapore University of Technology and Design in partnership with Straits Times. For the third edition of the forum, international speakers and panelists will share experiences and insights on innovative sustainable approaches from a local and global experience.
