How do we incorporate innovative solutions in urban sustainability?
On November 9th Frans de Witte will present Dutch expertise in design, sustainability, and placemaking during the Sustainable Urban Design Summit in Detroit. Using his experience in leading projects in the Netherlands, the USA, Canada, and South America, Frans will highlight MVRDV's perspective to innovative architecture.
Organized by Detroidisit, the summit brings together visionaries, thought leaders, and enthusiasts from Michigan, the Netherlands, and across the US. Engaging participants in thoughtful discussions and networking sessions, it will explore environmentally-conscious solutions that we can use to address urban challenges of the future.
Partner and Architect Frans de Witte joined MVRDV in 1996 and, being Americas studio director, he is currently leading projects in the Netherlands, the USA, Canada and South America. Frans has executed many successful MVRDV projects, such as Silodam, Radio Tower and Hotel in Manhattan, sustainable office and laboratory complex Matrix 1 in Amsterdam, as well as a 23-storey mixed-use building The Canyon in San Francisco.
