Alexander Forsch to discuss Architecture & Urgencies

On 27 March Senior Environmental Designer Alexander Forsch will give a lecture on the theme of "Architecture and Urgencies" at the Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo, Universidad de Chile.

The principal topic will relate to MVRDV’s work on environmental topics, and how the practice designs and delivers projects taking into consideration climate adaptation and risks, circularity and resources, as well as ecological constructions. Projects such as the Shenzhen Women and Children’s Center, Tainan Spring, Hoowave Water Factory, Fuggerei NEXT500 Pavilion, and Gate M West Bund Dream Center will be among those discussed.

Alexander originally joined MVRDV in 2018 as a project leading Designer and Researcher as part of the MVRDV in-house R&D Group focusing on carbon reduction and alternative ecological materials for future projects. His main responsibilities include creating sustainability concepts for projects, optimizing workflows, bringing carbon awareness into the design process as well as connecting suppliers and other innovative stakeholders in the construction industry with designs teams.
