How can architects and designers help deliver a sustainable future for all?

On 30 April from 18:00, Founding Partner Winy Maas will deliver his vision "On the Road to Biotopia" at TU Eindhoven. Hosted by AnArchi, the university's architecture and urbanism student association, the lecture forms part of the "Making Architecture" series. Following an introduction by Juliette Bekkering, Maas will explain his thinking on the cities of the future, and how we tackle global challenges such as space, economy, water, and climate. Referencing a range of MVRDV and The Why? Factory's projects, research, and tools, it culminates in a proposal that not only can we make cities green and that remain open, social, inclusive and flexible, but rather than consuming resources they become sustainable in all the senses of the word and hence make a positive contribution to the planet.
