On 22 September, Associate Director and Architect Aser Giménez-Ortega will participate in Renewal 2024. In collaboration with MAD Brussels, the event will explore the potential of sustainable design in shaping a better future, aiming to inspire a responsible and sustainable approach to design, encouraging creativity that prioritises environmental stewardship.
Discussing the topics of sustainability, recycling, and reuse, Aser will touch on a wide array of MVRDV's products and projects, from the luxury sector and lighting to a skyscraper and an office building and laboratory which explain how MVRDV has and continues to design with these principles in mind.
Associate Director and Architect Aser Giménez-Ortega, oversees the work of MVRDV's Interiors specialists. Having joined MVRDV in 2007 after working as an architect and urban designer in Spain, Brazil, and elsewhere in the Netherlands, he has extensive experience leading projects of various scales and phases, ranging from masterplans to interior design and from concept to construction. Aser played an integral role in the conceptualisation, realisation, and management of Oslo’s DNB bank headquarters, as well as Shanghai’s Hongqiao Flower Building. Aser has also been responsible for a range of interior and retail projects both in Europe and in Asia, including Tiffany & Co.'s stores in Shanghai Taikoo Li, China, and Singapore Changi Airport.
