The Mission Rock neighbourhood, including the MVRDV project The Canyon, will have a strong presence at the 2025 ULI Fall Meeting in San Francisco. In a panel discussion moderated by the former urban design critic of the San Francisco Chronicle, John King, MVRDV partner Frans de Witte will join representatives from developer Tishman Speyer and each of the design firms that also contributed projects to the new neighbourhood: Studio Gang, Henning Larsen, WORKac, and SCAPE. The panel will explore how this first phase of the new neighbourhood was designed in a unique collaborative process, with each design team working simultaneously to create designs which work seamlessly together, and how this innovative approach to design contributed to the success of the neighbourhood as a whole.
