On Thursday, 29 October, Sanne van der Burgh, Head of MVRDV NEXT, will speak at the VU Summit in London as part of the session Low-Carbon Design and Building Performance. The session will explore how making density livable requires cities to rethink infrastructure, climate, transit, waste, and carbon as interconnected parts of urban development.

In her presentation titled 'Do We Actually Know? Carbon, Density and the Case for Shared Data,' Sanne will share insights from MVRDV’s work on integrating sustainability and building performance into the design of dense urban environments, and on how low-carbon strategies can contribute to better places to live and work.

The session is part of the VU Summit, a global gathering of leaders working across tall buildings and vertical urbanism. Under the theme Density and Identity: Shaping Skylines, Elevating Culture, the summit brings together architects, developers, investors, researchers, and other experts to discuss the future of tall buildings and urban districts.
