On Tuesday May 13, Winy Maas will participate in the discussion about ornaments in contemporary architecture with the architect Michiel van Raaij, who also launches his new book ‘Building as Ornament’ at the Café of the Het Nieuwe Instituut in Rotterdam.

Van Raaj, who is also the editor of Architectenweb, argues in his new book that the new ornaments enable architects to design more eloquent  buildings to represent a virtue and to clarify the function, the social status and the structure of the organization.
