This autumn MVRDV are transfering their archive into Het Nieuwe Instituut. The archive will be the first major collection to be added to the State Archive for Architecture which primarily consists of digital materials.

To mark the event a panel discussion will be held at Het Nieuwe Instituut on the 22nd October at 20:00. Guest speakers will include MVRDV's Jacob van Rijs, along side Manon Janssens, head of exhibitions and archives at Zaha Hadid Architects; Suzanne Mulder, curator at Het Nieuwe Instituut; and Annet Dekker, expert on digital collections management. The discussions will focus around the idea of 'born-digital'materials, covering subjects such as the relevance of digital based archives, opportunities they offer new user groups and comparisions in archiving between different practices.
