Winy Maas will present his view on urban and rural Costa Rica, its qualities, shortcomings, threats, and potentials will all be discussed with a multinational and interdisciplinary panel. The event entitled “Biodiver-City”, will take place in the framework of a series called “Memories of the Future”, which captures and conserves the Zeitgeist of San José, its resident and visiting population. It is a tool to register and at the same time contribute to the socio-cultural development of the Costa Rican capital and its population at large.
Biodiver-City San José is organized by A-01 (A Company / A Foundation), a multidisciplinary network organization that creates integrally sustainable solutions within the fields of urban and rural development, in collaboration with Barrio, a platform for social innovation and exchange of contemporary culture. The event is supported through the International Design Festival (FID) and the newly established Orange District Association (ADN). It is sponsored by the Dutch Embassy in Costa Rica, Hollandia, and Hotel Presidente.
