On the 31st of October, MVRDV Asia director Marta Pozo will be giving a lecture at the World Cities Day in Shanghai, China. World Cities Day Forum is co-organized by the China Housing and Construction Department and the United Nations. The Day is expected to greatly promote the international community’s interest in global urbanization, push forward cooperation among countries in meeting opportunities and addressing challenges of urbanization, and contributing to sustainable urban development around the world. 

Each year one main session is organized together with a series of sub-events. The host of this year's main session will be the city of Guangzhou. Pozo will focus her lecture at the UN Habitat Shanghai Forum on the event's general topic Innovative Governance, Open Cities.
