In this conversation we will learn more about Winy Maas' radical vision for culture in the city, focusing on a new typology of museum as a model, the Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, designed by MVRDV. Many international museums today exhibit only six to seven percent of their collections. The remaining 94% are hidden in reserves. The Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen breaks with this tradition of concealment: its design makes visible all these previously invisible artefacts in a unique and emblematic reflective building.
