MVRDV launches #Interiors Month during October

undefined

On our website and social media, MVRDV is dedicating October to the theme of Interiors. The theme will cover interior designs developed as part of architecture projects all through our portfolio, as well as dedicated interior design projects. It will also spotlight related work in material experimentation, brand-related designs for boutique projects, and industrial design.

Though we believe in better, healthier, greener urban environments, the fact remains that people spend an average of 90% of their time indoors. That’s why interiors are so crucial, and why MVRDV takes the same bold approach to creating interior designs as we do to designing buildings and urban plans.

From the design for our own office space, where colourful meeting rooms set the tone for our dynamic way of working, to the experimental façades for projects like Crystal Houses and Bvlgari, MVRDV’s approach is fundamentally about creating experiences that resonate with a building’s inhabitants. Private homes such as the Barcode House and Casa Kwantes, public buildings such as Concordia Design Wrocław and the Stedelijk Museum Schiedam, schools such as the Roskilde Festival Højskole – all can benefit from such an approach.

With #Interiors Month, MVRDV hopes to spotlight this important work, showcasing our designs at all scales and providing an insight into how small-scale interventions can play a role in our overarching vision of the world.
