The Markthal subterranean car park has been awarded the European Standard Parking Award (ESPA): Gold Award. The prize is given to parking facilities of an exceptionally high quality and aims to set the standard for car parks throughout Europe. The standard ESPA award had been given to the Markthal car park on its opening in October 2014, however the Gold Award was given this month for its many qualities including its customer-friendly usability.
