Winy Maas meets Queen Maxima

undefined

Winy Maas had the honour of meeting Queen Maxima of the Netherlands in Paris, where she was introduced to our project, the Pushed Slab. The King and Queen were visiting as part of a Dutch economic mission to France.

The mission was lead by Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Lilianne Ploumen, the objective of which was to promote trade, mutual investment and technological cooperation.

The focus of the mission was on agriculture and food, energy and high tech systems & materials. As part of this the Pushed Slab was used as a leading example of sustainable building. The project was designed as a response to strict sustainability criteria and was the first building to be constructed in Paris' first eco-quarter; it has an energy consumption of 49 kWh per m2 per year, using at least a quarter of the energy of a typical office building.
