Last weekend, Prime Minister Mark Rutte and MVRDV's team were in South Korea as part of a visit organised by the Dutch Trade Mission.
Apart from stimulating business opportunities, the Dutch Prime Minister and the Mayor of Seoul were involved in promoting public space and usage.
Winy Maas was invited to introduce our public Seoul Skygarden project by showing its 1:1 mockup next to Seoul’s City Hall. The Dutch Government also donated 220 bicycles to the citizens of Seoul.
The transformed elevated highway is under construction as we speak.
