2016 has been an incredibly successful, fun and thrilling year for MVRDV.

We moved into our great MVRDV House, based in Het Industriegebouw in Rotterdam. In Denmark, we completed Ku.Be House of Culture and Movement, and Ragnarock, a new rock music museum. In Hong Kong, 133 Wai Yip Street made entirely from glass, and the innovative glass façade of Crystal Houses kept winning award after award including the Dutch Design Award, Glass Innovation Award and World Architecture Festival Award.

Projects nearing completion include Bałtyk, Tianjin Binhai Library, Seoul Skygarden and Chongwenmen M-Cube shopping centre.

We are excited that in 2017 construction will being for transforming the collection spaces for the Public Art Depot – Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Cultural Cluster Zaanstad and the Xili Sports Center, Shenzhen.

It is of vital importance that MVRDV remains an innovative, research-driven practice and one that continues contributing to debates and discussions on the future of our built environment.

We close our doors for Christmas on Friday, 23rd December 2016 and re-open on Monday 2nd January 2017. We look forward to welcoming you back early in the New Year.

Happy Christmas and here’s to a fantastic new year ahead!
