MVRDV's The Stairs to Kriterion will feature in the exhibition Reduce/Reuse/Recycle at the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio curated by Professor Muck Petzet. The exhibition is a follow-up exhibition to the German Pavilion at the 13th International Architecture Exhibition  La Biennale di Venezia titled Reduce/Reuse/Recycle > Architecture as Resource.

Reduce/Reuse/Recycle seeks to introduce the value system of waste management into the architectonic context and discussion. In the RRR-waste pyramid, avoidance and prevention come first and is followed by minimisation and reuse with recycling and material transformation as the last resort.
